The Wolf Education & Research Center

The Wolf Education & Research Center teaches year-round between our online and on-site programs. Outreach ranges from guests at seasonal events to static bi-weekly discussions and film series at local venues such as Winchester Lake State Park. Look for monthly outreaches on our website Classroom where you can always peruse past classes. As with all of our programs, they depend on your generous donation. Passport to Wildlife Mobile Classroom & Theater

Mobilizing the next generation of wildlife enthusiasts and stewards.

WERC’s short-term plans are to fund and build four mobile classrooms similar to the one in our video below called the Passport to Wildlife Mobile Classroom. The objective is simple. WERC aims to travel to areas of educational opportunity and to places where humans and wildlife are in conflict to provide programs, answers, films, discussions, and even debates to best inform the public.

What is the P2W Mobile Classroom?
P2W Mobile is more than a classroom. It is also a theater for showing our films. It is a mobile production studio for making more films. It is a marketing opportunity to bring attention to our ongoing outreach. And most importantly — it is an icon of inspiration to the next generation of wildlife enthusiasts and stewards.

Whom will this outreach serve?
The mobile classroom will travel to students and audiences at parks, schools, camps, retail events, seasonal events and fairs, and where invited.

Through a partnership with state and regional agencies, businesses, and wildlife groups, we hope to fund the annual cost through annual sponsorships.

Are there other uses of the Classroom?
Around our region, there are numerous areas of conflict where humans and carnivores intersect in destructive ways as we encroach on more and more wild habitats. Occasionally, news crews end up in these conflict areas. We will monitor these situations and mobilize to provide an expert backdrop to the conflicts.

Who will run the P2W Mobile Classroom?
The classroom will be run by staff, interns, and a select group of trained volunteers. WERC will recruit seasonal interns in addition to identifying regional volunteers who share our passion for teaching about carnivores and conservation.

How can I support the P2W Mobile Classroom?
It’s easy! Simply make a donation here.
