Meet Curt Moothart
I was born and raised in Decorah, a small town located in Northeast Iowa, known for its Norwegian heritage. It is also known for its hiking trails, Dunning’s Spring Park and Waterfall, and watching the world-famous Decorah eagles! I had the opportunity to enjoy all the outdoor activities Decorah has to offer year-round. I was raised on a large Quarter Horse farm, which created a lifelong love for animals and nature.
I attended Luther College, also located in Decorah, Iowa and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I was also a member of the Luther tennis team and spent a lot of my free time coaching children of all ages. After graduation, I left the cold winters of Iowa for the sunny beaches of the Bahamas, where I spent three years teaching second grade.
My thirst for travel prompted me to accept a position with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to facilitate youth activities onboard numerous cruise ships. This also gave me the opportunity to explore and learn about countries spanning the entire globe…an experience that has impacted and influenced my entire adult life!
During my time with Royal Caribbean, I meet my beautiful wife Heather and after seven years of traveling the world, we decided to move to Dallas, Texas and start our company, High Touch High Tech. Our mission was (and still is) simple…we bring hands-on science experiences directly into the classrooms of elementary students. We are currently in our 20th year serving children all throughout the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.
Raising 5 children means free time is often scarce; however, our entire family loves camping, hiking, swimming, playing sports, vacationing at the beach…basically just about anything that involves time outdoors and in the sun! I am also involved in taking mission trips to help bring schools, fresh water, farming opportunities, and my love of science to the amazing people of Uganda.
